Class six pupil drowns rescuing an 18-year old house girl

A class six pupil from Waitua Primary School and a 18 year old house girl drowned at Thika river.

The two caused grief at Kahaini village, Kandara when the news of the two was reported.

It is said that the class six pupil died as he tried to rescue the 18-year old house girl from drowning.

“Grief engulfs Kahaini village in Kandara after a STD 6 boy from Waitua Primary School and an 18-year house girl drown in Thika River.

According to eyewitness report, the boy drowned as he attempted to rescue the girl who is said to have been swept off by water.” said Thika Town.

Fire burns Bahati PCEA girls school, 73 taken to hospital

73 students were taken to Bahati Sub-County hospital following a fire incident at Bahati PCEA girls school.

The cause of the fire is unknown as all the 73 were discharged except three who were still receiving treatment.

“73 students were taken to Bahati Sub-County Hospital last night following a fire incident at Bahati PCEA Girls School.

All have been discharged apart from three who were admitted while two were referred to Nakuru Provincial General Hospital.” said Red cross
