We retained a respected law firm to conduct the review and have terminated him effective immediately. While in the process of that review, additional information has come light. Despite the termination, we will investigate as appropriate.” Said CNN on Twitter.
It is reported that the veteran anchor offered advise to his brother on live media that was not welcomed by his employer.
Cuomo further confirmed his termination saying that he would not like his time with CNN to end as it is about to go down despite explaining how and why he spoke to his brother during the discussion.
He continued by thanking the producers of the show and team behind it saying that he will surely miss them alot.
“This is not how I want my time at CNN to end but I have already told you why and how I helped my brother,
“He’s my brother. And if I can help my brother, I do. If he wants me to hear something, I will. If he wants me to weigh in on something, I’ll try,” Said Cuomo.
