“One reason why James Macharia should leave Transport. President Kenyatta should turn to the Cabinet, after successful purge at Parliament, and clean it up. Even if he was a performer, its time Mr Macharia was given a new assignment.”

According to James Smart, two footbridges one located at Bellevue and GM that were constructed at a whooping Ksh 185M and Ksh 177M will soon be brought down to pave way for the construction of an Express Way.

“Looks like the footbridges at Bellevue(sh185M) and GM(sh177M) both constructed at a cost of sh363Million in 2015 are going to be demolished to pave way for the Express Way.”

The news comes a day after a motion by Nyali MP Mohamed Ali to impeach the CS was shot down by the speaker of the National Assembly.

According to the MP, CS Macharia had failed to complete important projects including bridges, highways and Port.

He is also accused of being part of Ksh 5.2 Ministry of Health loss which was under his docket at some point.
