Migori Governor Okoth Obado may have been released on Wednesday but the freedom came with some conditions.

Obado who was charged alongside his PA and aid was released on a 5 million bail but he was given conditions not to set foot in Homabay.

Homabay being the hometown of the late Sharon Otieno, he has been warned from setting feet in the county.

In a ruling by the High Court judge Jessie Lessit Governor Okoth Obado was told to stay 20 KM away from Homabay and not to access the county from any side of the country.

The warning was to ensure that Mr. Okoth Obado does not interfere with the witnesses in any way.

The governor risks having his bail canceled if he makes any contact to the witnesses wither directly or by using a second party.

In addition to that he has also been warned against intimidating the family, sibling or any close relative to the deceased.

During any gathering whether public or private, the Governor has been barred from discussing the deceased or the case at hand.

The governor has been ordered to report once a month to the deputy registrar of the court and at no time will he be allowed to adjourn the hearing of the case.

Governor Okoth Obado was arrested following the death of Sharon Otieno last month where she was found dead in Kodera forest.

Sharon who was pregnant at the time of her death died alongside her unborn baby.

According to the government pathologist, several stab wounds from the back of Sharon’s body could have caused the death of the unborn child.

Revelations after her cruel death indicated that Sharon and Mr. Okoth Obado were in a relationship.

Sharon’s mother later revealed that her daughter had been promised county government tenders by the governor that she never saw.

In what was to be an expose to be revealed to the media, Sharon was meeting up Nation Media Reporter Barack Oduor before the two were hijacked by unknown men.

Her family has since called out for justice for their daughter.

Sharon was lied to rest last week.
