Detectives in the Coast region have supervised the destruction of contraband foodstuffs worth over Ksh 10 million.
The goods are reported to have been nabbed by KEBS officials who upon testing found them unsafe for human consumption.

“Contraband foodstuffs approximated at over Ksh. 10M which were impounded in October 2018 in Mombasa by a multi-agency team, & which upon testing by @KEBS_ke were found unfit for human consumption were yesterday destroyed in a legal procedure supervised by Coast region officials.” Said DCI Kenya.
The consignments comprised of 6,200 kg of rice and 5,857 cartons of spagheti which were all declared unfit for human consumption.
