Top sporting events in England including the English Premier League have been suspended until 3rd April due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Other sports affected include the EFL and matches involving Women in the FA and Championship levels.
The leagues will resume on 4th April upon approval by medical personnel who are closely following the matter.
The suspension comes barely a day after other sporting activities around the world were postponed over the coronavirus outbreak.
EFL will in the meantime resume a day earlier that the EPL as players and clubs have been warned of the same.
Medical doctors have warned players against meeting up with fans at that time and avoid appearances.
On Thursday, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was reported to have contracted the virus barely days after their Manchester City clash was postponed.
Also reported to have contracted the virus was Chelsea strike Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Other clubs across Europe including Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Juventus had also confirmed to have members of staff in isolation.
U.K Prime Minister Boris Johnson had earlier hinted suspending sporting activities as part of prevention measures.
