The government has declared a state of emergency in California following the death of one person from coronavirus.
The victim was a 71-year-old man who passed away following a series of complications.
He is also said to have been among several other passengers on board a ship.

As a countermeasure, the White House has moved in to conduct national wide testing to prevent further deaths and infections.
Currently, 150 people have contracted the deadly coronavirus in the U.S and the number of infections globally stands at 92,000.
The number of deaths globally is 3,000 with over 80% of them originating from China.
Washington has recorded the highest number of deaths as the virus has spread over to other cities including Texas and Nebraska.
Grand Princess, the ship that the 71-year-old man was is reported to have made several trips across the U.S and Mexico.
21 people from the ship are feared to have been infected including the crew and passengers.
