Court issues orders blocking the burial of Ken Okoth

Anne Thumbi, the alleged second wife to the late Kibra MP is reported to have obtained a court order blocking the burial of the late MP until she and her son are recognized by the family.

The order filed by the nominated County Assembly MCA comes after she was blocked from viewing the body of the late Ken Okoth at Lee Funeral.

In a statement shared by Capital FM, her lawyer was quotedsaying that Anne Thumbi filled the case after the family declined to recognize herand their 5-year-old son.

The temporary order issued at Milimani Law Court bars themother and wife of the late Kibra MP from conducting the burial or cremation bythemselves, their servants or agents pending the hearing of the applicationmade.

The application comes at a time when the body of the late Kibra MP was to be cremated a move that has also been blocked by a section of his family.
