Machakos governor Dr. Alfred Mutua has lost his seat following an appeal made by Wavinya Ndeti who challanged his election in 2017.
The ruling was made by the High Court on Friday on grounds that Machakos Gubernatorial results lacked a legal basis.
Dr Mutua took to social media saying that he respects the court of appeal but disagrees with their findings.
“I respect the Court of Appeal but disagree with their findings which clearly demonstrate they misunderstood the facts and the Law. I have moved to the Supreme Court.”
In the meantime Alfred Mutua has 30 days in office as he vows to move to the supreme court.
