Three jailed and 125 arrested over school unrest,CS Amina Mohammed

The recent case of school unrest witnessed throughout the country has seen three students jailed and 125 arrested.

Speaking on Monday,Education CS Amina Mohammed issued a stern warning to students who will be caught causing chaos in school.

CS Amina issued a new directive to schools to double up the number of teachers on duty and put more focus on students during evening preps.

The CS noted that the arrested students will serve a year each at a juvenile detention,The students were from Siakago Boys in Embu.

“Three students from Siakago Boys in Embu have been jailed for one year on probation and have since cleared from the school. They can only attend a day school as they report to the local chief,” Said Amina Mohammed.

Daily reports will now be sent on a daily basis by quality assurance officers in all counties so as to monitor the security situation at all time.

DCI warning.

Yesterday the Directorate of Criminal Investigation issued a stern warning to students who will participate in strikes and destruction of properties that their charges will be included in the Good Conduct certificates in future.

As at now 10 schools from Western region alone have been closed indefinitely.
