CS Munya, Mucheru and Sicily deny plotting to kill the DP

Cabinet Secretaries Peter Munya, Sicily Kariuki and Joseph Mucheru have rubisshed allegation of planning to neutralize DP William Ruto.

Speaking on Monday outside DCI headquarter, the three CS’s confirmed to have been summoned over a letter circulating that they held a meeting at Hotel La Mada with the DP as the agenda.

They continued by saying that during the summon DP William Ruto made a phone call alleging that the three of them and other top government officials are plotting to neutralize him.

Trade CS Peter Munya termed the allegation as serious especially when they come from a person of the stature of the Deputy President occupying the most powerful seat in the country.

He further added it is very unfair to portray them in a very bad light making them look like criminals thus affecting their reputations.

What the four CS’s were doing at the hotel.

The trio confirmed to have indeed met at the said hotel on Thika Road but their agenda was not the DP as earlier claimed.

The agenda of the meeting was to discuss matters brought forward by Mt. Kenya leaders who feel the government has left them behind in matters development.

The three CS’s also added that they did not record any statements as there was no written complaint against them.

As a matter of fact, they revealed that they are open to working with the DP to enable the government to achieve its objectives.
