CUE summon Sakaja to confirm Team University attendance

The Commission for University Education (CUE) has summoned Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja to prove that he attended Team University and attained a degree.

Sakaja who is vying for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat saw his previous clearance revoked by CUE on grounds that he did not attend the university as claimed by the politician.

The commission also revealed to the media that they are probing the eligibility of the degree certificate presented by the Senator as claimed by Kenyans on social media.

The meeting set for 22nd June will see the Senator present to the commission a number of requirements among them being;

  1. Application letter of the course
  2. Letter of admission from the University
  3. Evidence of admission and registration including a student ID
  4. Credit Accumulation and Transfer System (ATS)
  5. Bachelor of Science in Management description
  6. Course units taken
  7. Academic transcripts
  8. Graduation booklet with his name listed
  9. Tuition fee receipt
  10. Graduation Photo while wearing the gown
  11. Names of lecturers that taught him some of the courses
  12. Evidence of the requisite credit hours covered

The news comes barely an hour after the Senator presented himself for questioning at the DCI headquarters.

In what he claimed he had been arrested, DCI released him saying they had no need of him. Accompanying Sakaja were other Kenya Kwanza officials.
