Dams scandal,CS Henry Rotich grilled by DCI

Treasury Cabinet Secretary (CS) Henry Rotich has on Tuesday been grilled at the DCI Headquarters over the Arror and Kimwarer dams scandal in Elgeyo County.

CS Henry Rotich is said to have arrived at the DCI headquarters at around 5am and he is supposed to answer about 300 questions as to how the money was released.

The amount in question in the dams scandal stands at 21 billion which is said to have been allocated to the firms and they have not commenced any construction since 2017.

To make matters worse, no designs were even handed over while the money was dispatched.

Currently, Kerio Valley Development Authority (KVDA) managing director David Kimosop and KVDA procurement boss Maina Kiprotich have been implicated in the dams scandal.

If found guilty CS Henry Rotich will be charged alongside the two bosses over graft charges.
