Daniel Moi’s body arrives at the Parliament building

The body of the former President Daniel Arap Moi has arrived at the parliament building for public viewing.

Moi’s body left Lee Funeral early in the mourning to allow Kenyans to pay their last respect to the former head of state.

Mr. Joseph Kinyua, the Head of Public Servants confirmed that President Uhuru Kenyatta will be the first one to view his body at 10:15 am.

His casket was downed in the Kenyan flag escorted by a contingent of armed forces.

A military parade is set to be mounted to honor the late president at the parliament.

95-year old Moi passed away on Tuesday as is expected to be buried at his Kabarak home in Nakuru County on 12th February.

The Government set February 12th a public holiday to allow Kenyans mourn the former President.
