The Directorate of Criminal Investigation(DCI) has denied claims that they had summoned Kennedy Ombima alias King Kaka.
On Tuesday afternoon the rapper visited the DCI offices after receiving a phone call that allegedly threatened him to either visit the station or they will visit him.
Taking on social media, DCI denied the claims saying that nothing o the sort that is making rounds on social media is true.
“We wish to condemn strongly false information being peddled through social media to the effect that one Kennedy Ombima @RabbitTheKing has been summoned. Nobody from @DCI_Kenya has summoned him”
Confirming the incident to the detectives, King Kaka posted the number that had called him as he requested for an investigation.
“The Number that called us claiming to be CID is +254 746 541 000 , and threatened us saying they know our whereabouts, ‘it’s either you come to us or we come for you because where you live’ . Officer Onyancha and said Room 304. Please investigate.”
In response to King Kaka claims, DCI warned anyone seeking publicity to use their name in doing so.
The allegation come barely a day after Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has threatened to take legal action against the rapper over the song.
She claimed that lyrics of the song wrongly tainted her name and the allegations pointed out had been presented before the court.
Governor Waiguru issued a 48 hour ultimatum to take down the video and issue a written apology failure in which will lead to legal action.
