DCI launch investigations into Wendy Waeni saga

Through the Child Protection Unit, DCI has launched an investigation into one Joe Mwangi who was exposed on Citizen TV to have used the young girl leaving her penniless.

Should any criminal culpability be found, then legal actions will be taken as promised by the detectives.

Wendy Waeni is said to have traveled many places in the world including Rwanda and Germany under the management of Joe Mwangi but she received nothing in return.

She spoke on Citizen TV explaining how her mother is suffering to make ends meet even after her efforts in the field.

Even though she is now under different management, the same sentiments in regard to the accused were shared by ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna.

Sifuna narrated how at one point he had prepared a cheque under the foundation of the young girl only for Joe Mwangi to turn to request a name change to his.

Sifuna then withdrew the whole thing later.

“I don’t know about child trafficking but one time Wendy came to Orange house and we cut a cheque for her foundation to buy some play stuff. Weeks later Joe Mwangi came asking us to change it and write the cheque in his name. I cancelled the whole thing.” Said Sifuna
