Debarl Inea, Brenda Wanga fired by Nation Media Group

Hours after the sacking of senior NTV news anchor Ken Mijungu, Nation Media Group has also sent home Debarl Inea.

The AM Live show host confirmed the news thanking the media house for giving him an opportunity to work with them.

“It was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.” Thank you NMG for the opportunity. Work continues apace.”” Said Deber

Early in the morning Ken Mijungu confirmed to have been dismissed after seven years of services having been served a two page termination letter.

“The axe fell NTV newsroom and I was on its way. 7 years in those corridors summed up in a two page letter of termination. We live to fight another day. Thanks to God, He remains the greatest, thank you NTV Kenya for the opportunity and thank you for always staying tuned.” Said Mijungu.

In a publication by Kahawa Tungu, other presenters and news anchors affected by the new changes include Brenda Wanga, Harith Salim, lillian Kiarie, Silas Apollo and Sharon Baranga.

Many other changes are expected at Nation Media Group having had announced transformation caused by the pandemic as they look into alternative sources of income.

A new team is to take control of some departments as they shift their attention to producing online content unlike the traditional means like newspapers.
