Barcelona Star Lionel Messi and Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo have sent their special condolences following the demise of Diego Maradona.
Both superstars noted that the Argentine legend will forever be remembered for his contribution in football as they mourned with his family and friends.
“A very sad day for all Argentines and for football. He leaves us but does not leave, because Diego is eternal. I keep all the beautiful moments lived with him and I wanted to take the opportunity to send my condolences to all his family and friends. RIP.” said Lionel Messi.

The sad news of the passing of the world cup winner was confirmed on Wednesday following a cardiac arrest.
This month, he underwent brain surgery to remove a blood clot in his brain with the doctors confirming he was recuperating well thereafter.
Before the operation, his personal bodyguard tested positive for coronavirus and Maradona was forced to self quarantine for 14 days.
