The DP is currently coordinating government efforts on the ground. He has airlifted doctors to the affected areas.” Said Senator Murkomen.

DP Ruto then ordered a chopper to be stationed in the area to assist in the transportation of medical staff, food, clothes and other basic needs.

“The DP has also ordered a chopper to be stationed at Kapenguria for the next couple of days to help move medical staff, food, clothes and other needs for the victims until the situation improves.”

The arrival of the Deputy Presidents happened on the same day CS Fred Matiang’i was to visit the area but due to the bad weather, his chopper stopped at Eldoret.

Taking a hit on the CS, Senator Kipchumba Murkomen said that he had gone to focus on the BBI issue at the moment.

“We are Kapenguria to see victims of the landslide. Weather not good for Matiangi‚Äôs chopper.

“Meanwhile, PS Powon&Sunkuli have locked the food &clothes for victims inside a store&ran away with the keys to join Natembeya&Matiangi in planning for the most important BBI. Residents to break in”
