Deputy President William Ruto has Sunday denied plans to impeach President Uhuru Kenyatta terming the news as rumors being spread by his political opponents.
Speaking from Malindi the second in command noted that he has been busy working and such thoughts have never crossed him at one point.

The Deputy President told those present that he worked hard to ensure the President’s win in 2013 and 2017.
Ruto was speaking in response to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s statement to Gikuyu elders that his Deputy had tried to impeach him so as to ascend to power.
Speaking from State House, the Head of State informed the elders that his deputy was hungry for power and that they should back former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
He continued by revealing that DP Ruto was aware of the handshake in 2018 but wanted him to play hard. He urged the elders to select strong politicians ahead of the August elections so as to have representation in parliament.
