Deputy President William Ruto has on Wednesday distributed food to families in Nachu, Kiambu County.
The DP also inspected the construction of Marengeta Dam located in the same county during the Wednesday exercise.

The dam has been referred to as an investment that will benefit about 120,000 households in the country.
“We are also investing in various infrastructural projects such as the construction of the Marengeta Dam, which is part of dams that will benefit more than 120,000 households countrywide.”
During the visit the Deputy President promised his commitment in ensuring vulnerable families in the country as assisted during the pandemic.
He continued by promising that as a leader, he will ensure that it rises economically when the pandemic comes to an end.
“We are committed to ensuring that vulnerable Kenyans are supported during this tough period of the COVID-19 crisis besides coming up with broad plans that will facilitate the country’s rapid recovery from the disease.”
Before the donations were handed by the DP, 3,600 households had been selected out of which 600 will benefit.
“Today, 600 families in Nachu Ward were part of the wider 3,600 households that benefitted from our food distribution; to shield Kenyans from adverse effects of the outbreak.”
