DP Ruto meets Msambweni parliamentary seat aspirant

The country’s Deputy President William Ruto has met Msambweni parliamentary seat aspirant Feisal Abdallah at Karen Nairobi.

The Deputy President was in the company of Coast region MP’s namely Athman Shariff (Lamu East), Mohamed Ali (Nyali), Owen Baya (Kilifi North), Khatib Mwashetani (Lunga Lunga) and Aisha Jumwa of Malindi.

It is not yet known what the leaders discussed but the news comes barely a day after the Jubilee Party opted out of the Msambweni by-election.

Through a letter by the party’s Secretary-General Raphael Tuju, they noted that the decision was due to the recent advice by CJ Maraga to the President to dissolve the Parliament.

Tuju noted that the country at the moment needs to solve important constitutional matters at hand before moving forward.

Speaking outside the Jubilee Party Headquarters in Nairobi, the Deputy echoed what Tuju had said but also noted the presence of strong candidates that he might back up.

Msambweni Parliamentary seat fell vacant following the demise of Hon. Suleiman Dori following a long battle with cancer.
