The DPP has on Thursday approved the prosecution of Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa over alleged misappropriation of Ksh 57.7 million.
In a press release issued by the DPP, he confirms investigation conducted on alleged misappropriation of the National Government Constituency Development Fund of Malindi and abuse of office leading to the loss of Ksh 57,711,690.

The DPP continues by saying that the money in question had been fraudulently received the said amount through her proxies who include;
- Multserve Contractors Limited
- Kaseru Construction Limited
- Bizcot Ltd
- Gadu Stores Ltd
Upon completion of their investigation, it was established that Ksh 19,002,000 was paid to Multserve Limited who director is Robert Katana Wanje.
Out of the same amount, Ksh 2.5 million was illegally transferred to the Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa in her current capacity.
Other than the MP herself, those to be arrested and prosecuted include;

2. Kennedy Otieno Onyango – Member ND-CDF tender Committee
3.Bernard Riba Kai – Member ND-CDF tender Committee
4.Sophia Saidi Charo – Member ND-CDF tender Committee
5.Margaret Faith Kalume – Member ND-CDF tender Committee
6.Robert Katana Wanje – Director Multserve Contractors Limited
7.Multserve Contractors Limited
Charges leveled against them include conspiracy to commit an offense of corruption, wilful failure to comply with law related to procurement, conflict of interest, money laundering, acquisition of proceeds of crime, forgery, and uttering.
