East African Breweries (EABL) is set to reward its female employees with up to 6-months of maternity leave.
The new policy which is in line with its British parent is one of the most generous packages to its employees and will come into effect on July 1st.
The new policy by EABL will not only benefit new mothers but also fathers will longer paid parental leaves regardless of how long an employee has worked at the company.
Currently, they offer flexible working hours for breastfeeding mothers and have also set up nursery rooms for them just like Safaricom.
Kenyan Laws allow new mothers with three-months paid maternity leaves and two weeks paternal leaves to new fathers.

Most employers, however, are unhappy with the exciting laws as they are forced to hire temporary staffs to cover up the gaps.
