A Nairobi based businessman has been arrested by detectives from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission as he attempted to bride Governor Mike Sonko.
Mr. Praful Kumar is said to have wanted to bribe the Nairobi Governor so as to get approvals for Grand Monar Hotel in Gigiri, Nairobi.
The arrest comes at a time when the government is bringing down properties built in riparian land. Grand Monar Hotel had been already marked for demolition even though it’s under construction.
Confirming the arrest was EACC George Ojowi who said the business man was arrested in Kanamai, Kilifi County.
