Eight arrested by DCI in possession of fake currencies and gold

Eight people have been arrested by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) on Tuesday morning.

DCI detectives raided a home along Kiboko-Mukoma road that led to the discovery of fake currency and fake Gold nuggets.

“An early morning raid by DCI Kenya along Kiboko/Mukoma road led to the recovery of millions of fake US Dollars, Zambian Kwachas and over 100 kilograms of fake Gold nuggets.” Said the DCI

Among the eight arrested, four of them are foreigners and they include one Congolese, two Tanzanians and one Nigerian.

The DCI has also revealed the names of the eight suspects and they are namely;

Ruhota Kabagale, a Congolese, Manson Chogga Mtassi, a Tanzanian, Chukunosho Francis Ogbuanu, a Nigerian, Konie Kalist, a Tanzanian Kenyan suspects include: Boniface Mtwasi Anjere, Robert Riagah, Arthur Caleb Otieno& Michael Omondi Okengo

The eight will be charged in court today.
