Eliud Kipchoge named UN person of the year

Kenyan marathoner Eliud Kipchoge has on Wednesday been named the UN personality of the year.

Kipchoge was also recognized for his efforts in fighting HIV/AIDS in the country during an event at the UN Embassy in Nairobi.

The recognition comes a day after the world marathon holder was also nominated as the Male World Athlete of the year 2018 at the International Association of Athletics Federation.

Kipchoge won in September coming in a minute and a half to set a new world record and he is poised to win the nominations set to be announced in Monaco in December 2018.

UN named the world champion as they marked an anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN chapter.

CNN Richard Quest

On Tuesday, the world Champion met with CNN anchor Richard who is the country.

The two went for a jog inside Karura forest before sitting down for a conversation.

Richard Quest is scheduled to be part of the passengers who will be boarding the inaugural KQ flight to New York United Sates.

During the flight, Quest will be airing the journey live through CNN.
