World Marathon holder Eliud Kipchoge was at it on Sunday bagging the first position during the NN Mission Marathon held in Twente, Netherlands on Sunday.
Kipchoge won the race in 2:04:30 ahead of compatriot Jonathan Korir who came second in the first Marathon for the Magical Kenya ambassador since October last year in London when he come in eighth.
In what was a competitive race, Eliud Kipchoge maintained the lead together with fellow compatriots before bursting to lead 33 km later thanks to his pacemakers who were fantastic throughout.

He maintained the lead before smiling all the way to the finish line expressing his satisfaction for an incredible performance to fly the Kenyan flag high.
Speaking after the race, Kipchoge thanked the organizers of the event as he spoke of the upcoming Olympic Marathon which he will be preparing for once he returns at home.
The race which attracted about athletes was occasioned with strong winds as they seek qualification for Japan games set for July and August. Together with other elite runners, Kipchoge will seek to defend his title.
