Former NASA secretary Eliud Owalo has resigned as a party member of Orange Democratic Movement ODM.
Eliud Owalo who was ODM leader Raila Odinga in 2013 tendered his resignation as he called for the removal of his name from the party’s membership register.
In a letter tabled before the party, Mr. Owalo said it was with great regret that he is tendering his resignation.
He continued by saying that his resignation is informed by the fact that his ideology, convictions and beliefs are no longer with the party.
Speculations have it that former aide has resigned in order to contest for the upcoming Kibra by-elections.

The seat fell vacant following the death of Kibra MP Ken Okoth after a long battle with colorectal cancer.
In 2013, he eyed the Kibra seat but his journey was cut short when he was defeated during nominations.
