Emali police seize over 6.000 rolls of bhang

Police in Makueni county have seized over 6,000 rolls of bhang with an estimated street value of 3 million.

The large consignment stashed in sacks is said to have been transported by a private car when the occupants of the vehicle run away on seeing policemen on patrol.

So far no one has been arrested even though the police report to have collected a mobile phone from the scene.


In a statement, the police said that they will use the mobile phone and the vehicle plate number to arrest those involved.

The vehicle was towed to Emali Police station as samples from the bhang have been taken to the government laboratory for testing.
