Emile Smith-Rowe signs contract to 2026, issued No.10 shirt

Emile Smith-Rowe has signed a new long term contract with Arsenal that will see him stay at the London based club until June 2026.

The youngster joined Arsenal at the age of 9 years and has grown at Hale End Academy, the youth system of Arsenal.

His development saw him rise through the ranks and get a first team call making a total of 33 appearances in all competition for Gunners thus giving him the honour of a number 10 shirt.

Speaking following the news was Arsenal technical director Edu who expressed the trust that he has for the attacking midfielder given his loyalty to the club.

“This is another important step forward for us and we’re all delighted that Emile has signed a new long-term contract. It’s great to see another young player develop through our academy system to become a key part of our first team.

Emile is a player who represents the future of the club and this is why we have given him the No 10 shirt. We have trust in Emile and we know he has the potential to be a beautiful player for many years to come.” Said Edu.

Coach Mikel Arteta praised Smith Rowe’s creativity and vision during a match as the key reason why he has been given such a huge task. He continued by praising his attitude and willingness to learn.

Along with the first-team staff, huge credit also goes to our senior players, who have played such an important role to help Emile develop, gain confidence and perform the way he did last season.
