Essex police discover 39 dead bodies in a truck container

Essex police have on Wednesday discovered 39 dead bodies inside a truck container believed to have come from Bulgaria.

The truck was discovered at an industrial park as the driver was arrested by Essex police on suspicion of murder.

The origin of the lorry is said suspected to have been from Bulgaria and made entry into North Ireland and finally to Britain.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has termed the incident as tragic and heartbreaking as he admitted his office is receiving updates on the same.

At the moment his prayers are with the family of the victim who is yet to be established upon completion of the investigation.

The 39 bodies included 38 adults and one teenager. The driver of the truck is 25-years of age and from Northern Ireland.

The Bulgarian government is yet to confirm the same as they have embarked on their own investigation to determine the origin of the container.

At the moment speculations have risen that the dead people could have been immigrants trying to make their way into the country illegally.

Businesses around the scene remained closed as police blocked people from coming near the scene.
