Ethiopian Airlines heading to Nairobi involved in an accident

AnEthiopian Airline with 157 people on board has been involved in an accident onSunday as confirmed by the airline itself.

In astatement, Ethiopian Airline said that the airline flight number ET 302 wasinvolved in an accident on March 10th in schedule service from AddisAbaba to Nairobi around Bishoftu(Debra Zeit).

The aircraftis said to have left Addis Ababa, Bole International Airport at 08:38 am andlost contact at 08:44 am.

Currentlysearch and rescue operations are in progress but nothing can be confirmed aboutany possible survivors or possible casualties.

EthiopianAirline staff will also be sent to the accident scene to do everything possibleto assist emergency teams.

Out of the 157 people on board the Ethiopian Airline, 149 were passengers while 8 were crew on board.

EthiopianAirlines has also confirmed establishing an information center and a telephonenumber will shortly be released to the family and friends of the airline ET302.

Further informationwill be released by the airline as soon as they get any updates.
