Everton complete signing of Barcelona midfielder

English Premier League side Everton has completed thesigning of former Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes.

The 22 million Pounds deal will see the former Catalanmidfielder agree a five-year contract until the end of June 2024.

Andre Gomes made his commitment to Everton following animpressive long spell at the Goodison Park last season.

Speaking at Everton TV Gomes said that it wasn’t hard to decide and he is very happy to be having signed a contract with the Blues.

“Last year was a really good experience for me. I just wanted to feel part of something special and I found it here. It was good for me in that moment and right now, after signing for Everton, it’s even better.

“I think the ambition here is not only for me, I think it’s for all the players, the fans and the Club. We are all excited for that.”

The 25-year old Portuguese joined Everton from Barcelona in August 2018 on the transfer deadline for a season-long loan.

He made his debut for the Blues in October 2018 where they won 2-0 against rivals Crystal Palace.
