Everton have been handed two years ban from signing academy players after being found guilty of breaching premier league rules.
The English Premier league side was banned after it was found to have offered some encouragement to a player and his family so that he can join them.
The ban will mean that Everton will not be allowed to recruit any player registered in the Premier league or from any other football club in the next 18 months.
In addition to the ban, they have also been fined £500,000. Responding to the allegation, Everton released a statement saying that they are deeply disappointed by the practices that were found which are contrary to the values of the Premier league and those of Everton.
In the meantime, Everton have commenced an internal review of the operations of the academy and to make sure that such incidents do not occur in future.
