EPL club Everton has ended its partnership with Kenyan based betting company SportPesa.

SportPesa signed a five-year deal with the EPL club in 2017 but the deal was cut short by the management.

They, however, thanked the betting firm for their partnership, especially towards the club.

Last year, Sportpesa halted operations in Kenya following government interventions into the industry.

Taxes were raised something that caused the company to find it not viable to continue its operations.

War on gambling has also taken shape lately as countries report broken families or suicides caused by it.

Clubs are facing the threat of withdrawing partnership with betting firms due to the protest.
