Former husband to the slain mother of two who was found dead at Menengai forest has committed suicide.
Muchiri is reported to have killed himself as his body was reported to have been found hanging on a tree in Narok.
The County Commander of Mau Narok confirmed the incident saying that the deceased was also found with a note in his pocket.
The note read in parts that the cause of his death was a result of the death of Faith Wangui, the mother of two.
He further said that he was afraid he would be arrested and tortured for the alleged murder of Faith following the discovery of her body.
25-year old Faith was last reported to have been in the company of his estranged husband as they tried to figure things out.
She left for Nakuru from Murang’a on Sunday to visit her aunt together with her children for the December holiday.
Before leaving she texted her best friend that she was going to meet her former husband and that was the last time she was seen.
Six days later, her body was found by herders at the Menengai forest as they went about their daily duties.
The body of the late Muchiri has been taken to Nakuru Level Five Hospital Mortuary for preservation as investigations continue.
