Expelled Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa talks tough

Malindi Member of Parliament (MP) Aisha Jumwa has stood her grounds saying that she will complete her five years and no by election will be conducted.

Aisha Jumwa was speaking after a decision to expel her was reached by the Orange Democratic Party (ODM).

Speaking in Malindi Aisha Jumwa said that if proper rules were followed then she would have surrendered her seat.

On Friday ODM’s Nationational Governing Council expelled the tough Malindi MP and spared her counterpart Suleiman Dori of Msambweni.

The two legislators fell out with the company when they openly showed their support for the Deputy President William Ruto come 2022.

Their close association with the Deputy President saw the party expel them before challenging the decision saying their act was inline with the Party leader’s building bridges initiative.
