Fake currency worth Ksh 100m seized at a politician’s house

Detectives have recovered fake cash at the house of Webuye West Member of Parliament aspirant Peter Sitati at Elgon View Estate in Eldoret Town.

During the raid, detectives found the fake cash which was both in local and foreign currency worth Ksh 100 million.

The caretaker of the house was arrested during the raid as the police launched a search for the politician and an alleged woman who is said to be an accomplice.

Reports indicate that the detectives were tipped when a woman launched a complain that she was allegedly swindled Ksh 600,000 by the said politician.
