Fake NIS officer arrested trying to dupe an OCS

A fake NIS (National Intelligence Service) officer was nabbed at Industrial police station where he had visited.

The fake officer is said to have demanded to have the OCS allow him to interrogate a prisoner before detectives pounced on him.

32-year-old Nesta Makokha was found in possession of a fake NIS ID card which was confiscated as an exhibit as he awaits to be arraigned in court.

“32-Year-Old Ambrose Nesta MAKOKHA is in custody after he Personated a #NIS Officer at Industrial Area Police Station where he posed demanding that the OCS allows him to Interrogate a prisoner.

The Fake NIS ID he produced confiscated & kept as an exhibit. To be arraigned tomorrow.” Said DCI

Makokha was also found to be in possession of Bhang. Charges leveled against the suspect include possession of narcotics, assault and creating a disturbance.

“The officer who was also found in possession of #Bhang is in our custody and will be arraigned for the offenses under Narcotics drug, Assault & Creating Disturbances.”

On Monday two men were gunned downed at Kiamaiko area of Starehe Constituency by undercover detectives.

The detectives gunned down the suspects following a distress call by members of the public during an armed robbery.

Two other suspects managed to escape and are being pursued by the police who were also able to recover one pistol and several rounds of ammunition.
