Family of Tob Cohen want court to deny Sarah bail

The family of the late tycoon, Tob Cohen through their lawyer has requested the court to deny Sarah Wairimu bail.

In his argument lawyer Cliff Ombeta said that Sara Wairimu should stay at Langata women prison.

Ombeta continued by describing the prime suspect as a dangerous person given the fact that the late Tob Cohen’s body was found at their home.

Prosecution team led by Wangoi Gichuhi seconded Ombeta’s school of thought saying she will threaten witnesses if released.

Other suspects are also set to testify in the case something that the prosecution argued to have Sarah remain in custody.

Her lawyer Philip Murgor rejected the request saying that his client is a businesswoman and she needs to works in order to provide for herself.

Murgor continued by saying that Sarah’s businesses are at the moment not performing well due to her absence.

Both the prosecution and the family have been accused of planning to deny Sarah the right to her matrimonial home by saying she should remain locked up.

The office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution came into the picture as it was accused of colliding with the DCI.

The determination of the hearing is set to be ruled on 11th October by High Court Judge Stella Mutuku.
