Fatuma Zarika alias Iron fist has on Sunday morning lost her World Boxing Council, WBC bantamweight title in Mexico.
The Kenyan boxer was defending her title against Mexican Yamileh Mercado before going down in all rounds as per the judges.
It was a definite revenge moment for Mercado who was beaten in their last bout in Kenya in September 2018.

It was the second title defense for the mother of two who had already knocked out Catherine Phiri of Zambia in 2017.
34-year old Iron fist will have a 90-day window for a rematch as stipulated in a contract signed before the Mexican bout.
The Sunday loss leaves Zarika with 13 losses, 32 wins and two draws against Mercado who has two losses and 13 wins.
