Five Azam Media crew members die in an accident

A tragic road accident in Shelui area in Tanzania has claimed the lives of seven people, five of them being members of Azam Media.

The Monday accident also saw three other people sustain serious injuries when a vehicle crashed head-on with a lorry.

The crew members of Azam Media are said to have been heading to Chato where President John Pombe Magufuli was officiating an event on Tuesday.

Azam is yet to issue an official statement on the accident but sources indicate the victims were camera crew members and sound engineers.

Sources have further revealed the names of the deceased as Said Haji, Charles Wandwi (cameraman), Salim Mhando (switcher), Florence Ndibalema (sound) and Kasongo (engineer).

Two others who sustained injuries are namely Said Mwinshehe and Massawe
