Five suspects purporting to be PSV operators arrested

Detectives based in Buruburu have on Tuesday night arrested five robbers with suspects purporting to be PSV operators within Nairobi.

The suspects identified as Samuel Maina Wanyoike, Joseph Wainana Gitau, Felix Otieno, Dennis Omondi Otieno and Collins Oduor were arrested inside a motor vehicle of registration number KBK 624F.

Sometime back, the same vehicle was captured on CCTV camera being persuaded by motorcyclists after they robbed off an innocent Kenyan.

The victims was called to the police station and positively identified the suspects after recording a statement with the police.

“The said vehicle was captured on CCTV footage as it was being pursued by a group of motorcycle riders after the occupants had allegedly lured and violently robbed a man, who later sought the riders’ assistance.

While the suspects were being booked in the Occurrence Book, the victim reported to the station, positively identified them and narrated his ordeal. All the recovered items have been kept as Exhibits as suspects are being prepared for arraignment.” Said DCI
