Flying squad detectives recover vehicles worth 12 million

Flying squad detectives have on Thursday recovered motor vehicles worth Ksh 12 million in Kipsimo, Eldoret.

The stolen vehicles are suspected to have been stolen or illegally registered as the detectives caught up with one suspect at the yard where they were being kept.

The Flying squad detectives were able to locate the vehicles thanks to a tip-off from members of the public.

“12 M/VEHICLES suspected to be STOLEN or ILLEGALLY registered were Yesterday recovered by Flying Squad Detectives in an operation that was triggered by a tip-off from the Public. The m/vehicles were recovered from a Yard at Ndaptabwa Kipsimo, Eldoret- where they were being Hidden.”

On the same day, three suspects were arrested repackaging rice in Kamukunji area of Nairobi County.

The suspects who have been identified as Abdikafi Ahmed, Abdirizack Ahmed & Liban Ahmed Abdille were arrested in possession of over 1,500 bags of assorted rice brands.

“THREE SUSPECTS found Repackaging Expired RICE were Today arrested by a Multi-Agency Team & OVER 1500 BAGS (@50kgs) of Assorted Rice brands confiscated in #Kamukunji.”

The raid conducted by a Multi-Agency team recovered a lorry and other items which were also confiscated.
