A form three student and one-year-old son in Saruyot village in Uasin-Gishu County have been killed by the student’s ex-lover who is a form four student.
The incident occurred after the form four student visited the girl’s home trying to reconcile their difference something that was opposed by the girl’s parents.
It was during his one week stay that Douglas Kipchumba killed both the girl and her one-year-old son at nearby river.

Confirming the news was the area Chief who spoke to Citizen TV saying that the mother of the deceased form three student confronted the killer threatening to beat him up if he does not leave her daughter alone.
Doulas and Hilda had parted ways for sometime and the girl moved on and even had a son with another man who was in in Nigeria pursuing his education.
Unconvinced by the truth, Douglas woed the form three student and her son to a nearby river before taking their lives and leaving the scene immediately.
He was however arrested after he was caught at his home in pain after attempting to take his own life. He also had a note beside him confessing his sins.
He has since been moved to Moi teaching and referral hospital where he receiving treatment before he is arraigned in court.
