Former Bishop Emeritus Linus Okok dies aged 68

Former Homabay Bishop Emeritus Linus Okok has died on Saturday at a Kisumu hospital following a long illness at the age of 68.

The sad news has been shared across the Catholic family who wished his famil, friends and the people of Kisumu the strength during this tough time.

It is reported that the former Bishop fell on his back sometime back and since then he developed complications which he has been receiving treatment.

He was last taken to St. Monicah hospital in Kisumu where he succumbed to the illness as confirmed by Kisumu Archbishop Philip Anyolo.

Mourning the man of God was ODM party leader Raila Odinga who decribed him as true example of faith with example.

He continued by describing his death as a huge blow to the country and people of Homabay at large who relied on his spiritual advise.

“In Life, Linus Okok, Bishop Emeritus was a true example of faith with deeds. His death is a big blow to the Catholic Church, our country and the people of Homa Bay who continued to rely on him for guidance on both spiritual and earthly needs. May Almighty God accept his soul.” Said Hon. Raila Odinga.
