Former Garsen Member of Parliament (MP) Danson Mungatana has been arrested on allegations of obtaining money through false pretense.
The Tuesday arrest is reported to have happened at a Nairobi hotel after two women filed a complaint with the detectives.
According to a report by Citizen TV, the women are reported to have been promised Ksh 70 million cereals and building tenders by a man who claimed to be fro the Department of Defense (DOD).

The said man then requested his victims to pay him Ksh 1 million as a down payment which was handed over on 14th July 2020.
Everlyne Njoki who was one of the victims realized that the documents were fake before reporting the matter to the police.
In her statement, she mentioned the former Garsen MP and another man by the name Collins Paul Waweru.
The venue of the said transaction has been revealed as Sagret Hotel and the said military man has also been identified as Danson Mungatana.
Following the revelations, the former Garsen MP has since been arrested and question at Kilimani police station.
