Former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has welcomed a verdict by the Court of Appeal in regard to his petition seeking to stop Anne Kananu from from occupying the seat.
Taking on social media, the controversial noted that time will tell when he will have another opportunity to serve Kenyans in a different capacity.
He continued by giving thanks for having an opportunity to serve the people of Nairobi and that he will fight another day.

“Fellow Kenyans, I concede defeat by accepting the Supreme court’s verdict this afternoon. God’s timing is the best and a time will come when he’ll give me another chance to serve Kenyans in any capacity.
I’m forever grateful for the opportunity I had working for you, I will continue doing so. For now we leave everything to God. We live to fight another day, however, alluta continua as life must go on.” Said Sonko
The former Governor has been in and out of the court to challenge his removal from office, a move that saw him move to the Court of Appeal to challenge a decision by the High Court.
The Appellate court squashed his appeal before moving to the Supreme Court.
