Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has on Friday afternoon received the AstraZeneca vaccine jab as confirmed by the ODM party leader himself.
In his message to Kenyans, Hon. Raila Odinga urged everyone to turn up and get the vaccine and the government to step up mass vaccination in the country.
“This afternoon I got the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine jab. Having been a victim of this deadly virus I urge all those who are currently eligible for vaccination to get vaccinated.

I appeal to the government to make concrete arrangements for mass vaccination once the vaccines land and, I also strongly encourage Kenyans to feel free to take the jab. We will overcome the virus!” Said Raila.
The news comes hours after he met politicians from Kisii region as he is set to begin a drive across the country to unite Kenyans through the BBI amendment bill.
“Conferred with my friends from the Kisii region this morning as our efforts to unite the region and entire country continue. A more inclusive nation is in the offing.” Said Raila.
On Thursday ODM pulled out of the NASA Coalition citing a drive into different political direction ahead of the 2022 general election.
Other principals of the NASA Coalition have also pulled out of citing lack of trust and disrespect from ODM officials after the failed 2017 elections.
